Montréal Victoire forward Marie-Philip Poulin left Saturday's game against the Boston Fleet at Place Bell and did not return. The nature of the injury was not immediately disclosed.

Poulin appeared to be hurt during the course of play and headed to the Victoire locker room. She was not seen on the bench for the remainder of the contest.

The 35-year-old captain has been one of PWHL's most consistent offensive threats this season. In 21 games, Poulin has recorded 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points, leading the Victoire in scoring.

Her absence would be a significant blow for Montréal. The Victoire currently sit second in the PWHL standings with 35 points on a 13-5 record through 18 games, two points behind the first-place Boston Fleet.

Montréal has 12 regular-season games remaining in the 30-game Season 3 schedule. Losing Poulin for any stretch would put pressure on the rest of the forward group to fill the production gap during a tight race near the top of the table.

The Victoire are next scheduled to play on Thursday, March 19, when they host the Seattle Torrent at Place Bell in Laval. An update on Poulin's status is expected before that game.
