Minnesota Frost held off a resilient New York Sirens squad 4-3 on Saturday night at Ball Arena in Denver, part of PWHL's Takeover Tour bringing league action to new markets. The win keeps the Frost firmly in second place in the standings with 36 points through 19 games.

The Frost carried a two-goal cushion into the third period before the Sirens mounted a comeback attempt that fell one goal short. Denver's neutral-site crowd got a competitive finish, with New York pressing hard in the final minutes but unable to find the equalizer.

Minnesota's top-end talent continues to produce at a high rate. Kendall Coyne Schofield leads the club with 24 points on 12 goals and 12 assists through 30 career games. Taylor Heise has posted 21 points this season, collecting six goals and 15 assists in 19 games. Grace Zumwinkle has chipped in 19 points, including 11 goals.

The Frost now sit three points clear of fourth-place Ottawa in the standings, though Montréal holds the same 36-point total in third. Minnesota's 12-4 record through 19 games represents the second-best winning percentage in the league behind first-place Boston.

For the Sirens, the loss drops them to 8-9 on the season with 27 points, leaving them in sixth place. New York has now played 20 games and sits seven points behind the Charge for the fourth and final guaranteed playoff position.

The Frost return home to Grand Casino Arena in Hinckley for their next contest, while the Sirens head back to Northwell Health Ice Center in East Meadow.
