Rebecca Leslie scored in overtime to give Ottawa Charge a 3-2 victory over Vancouver Goldeneyes on Saturday afternoon at Pacific Coliseum.

Leslie fired the winner past Kristen Campbell to cap an improbable road win for Ottawa, which was outshot 36-17 on the afternoon. Gwyneth Philips was the reason the Charge stayed in it, stopping 34 of 36 Vancouver shots for a .944 save percentage.

Sarah Wozniewicz led the way offensively for Ottawa with a goal and an assist. Fanuza Kadirova added a power-play goal, with Jocelyne Larocque, Michela Cava, Brianne Jenner, and Ronja Savolainen each collecting assists.

Vancouver got goals from Sarah Nurse and defender Sophie Jaques. Claire Thompson picked up an assist. Nurse was the most dangerous player on the ice for the Goldeneyes, firing a game-high seven shots on goal over 27:08 of ice time.

Campbell finished with 14 saves on 17 shots for an .824 save percentage. The Goldeneyes controlled possession for long stretches and held a significant edge in shot volume, but Philips was the difference every time Vancouver pushed.

The result is a tough one for the Goldeneyes, who sit seventh in the standings with 20 points. Vancouver did enough to win most games but could not solve Philips when it mattered. Hannah Miller put five shots on net in nearly 27 minutes of work but came away empty.

For Ottawa, the overtime win is worth two points and moves the Charge closer to the playoff picture at 26 points in fifth place. The Charge have shown a pattern of finding ways to win tight games on the road this season, and this one fit the template.

Ottawa returns to Canadian Tire Centre looking to build on the result. Vancouver stays home at Pacific Coliseum searching for more consistent finishing to match the chances they create.
